Fueled by strong growth, the managed AWS provider will use its new partnership with Silicon Valley Bank to continue to delight its customers
LOS ANGELES, CA – March 7, 2019 – Mission, a managed services and consulting company for Amazon Web Services (AWS), today announced that it has entered into a line of credit agreement with Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), the bank of the world’s most innovative companies and their investors. This agreement provides Mission with up to $8 million of new capital, which will be used to fund programs that directly support the growth of its customers. Consistently seen as one of the top managed providers for AWS, Mission is obsessed with ensuring that its customers remain delighted and that they are continually supported with tools and resources that help drive their success.
The SVB line of credit follows a $75 million investment previously made by Great Hill Partners, the Boston-headquartered private equity firm focused on investments in high growth, mid-market technology companies.
“The expertise that Mission brings to delivering AWS managed services – and guiding enterprises through end-to-end cloud transformations – ensures game-changing operational advantages for its customers,” said Steven Reel, Managing Director, Silicon Valley Bank. “We’re glad to extend our support to Mission through this line of credit, and know the company will put it to deft use expanding on its already formidable cloud management and optimization capabilities.”
“I’m particularly excited about our ability to partner with SVB to support our customers’ growth and continued success,” said Stewart Armstrong, CFO, Mission. “The line of credit will open up new and exciting opportunities for our customers to take advantage of Mission programs (like the Reserved Instances Optimization Program) that help drive discounted pricing for their AWS usage. We want our customers to continue to excel, and our role should be to provide the tools that help facilitate this.”
Mission has been quickly expanding its AWS managed services and consulting business since forming in 2018 through the mergers of Reliam, Stratalux, and G2 Tech Group. The coast-to-coast company has grown to serve nearly 200 customers across a range of industries, and has built a team of expert cloud consultants and solutions architects that hold more than 90 AWS certifications. With the line of credit from SVB secured, Mission ensures it will continue to have the tools in place to meet the demand from businesses looking to fully optimize their AWS environments.
“As excited and proud as I am of the impressive growth we’ve achieved at Mission over such a short period, we’re only just getting started,” said Simon Anderson, CEO, Mission. “We’re excited to now call Silicon Valley Bank our partner in supporting Mission’s ongoing expansion and accomplishments.”
